Terms of Booking
By placing a booking with us Compass House Ltd trading at The Cross Inn, hereafter known as 'we' the lead guest hereafter known as you and your party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.
To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 16 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different from the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access with our express permission.
At the time of booking or at check-in, we will take your credit/debit card details and you authorise the use of this card for any sums that become owing to us.We shall also have the right to require full payment in advance or a deposit at the time of booking in certain circumstances or if the Booking includes the supply of certain items or services.No Booking shall be treated as confirmed until the details and/or payment/deposit described in this paragraph have been provided.
Guests are always requested to conduct themselves appropriately and to comply with Company procedures and/or requests with regard to conduct and respect for the property of the Hotel, its employees and guests and their health and safety.Guests are requested not to disrupt the comfort and enjoyment of other guests, the smooth running of the Hotel, or cause offence to other guests or our members of staff.We reserve the right to refuse accommodation or services or remove you and members of your party from the Hotel if, in our reasonable opinion, we consider this provision to have been breached. Where this is the case shall have no obligation to refund you for lost accommodation, other services or any other loss or expense incurred.
Check-in & Check-out
Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below;
Check-in between:12:00 â€“ 14:00 and 16:00 â€“ 22:00 on day of arrival
Check-out by:10:00 on day of departure
Other check-in and check-out time may be available on request at an additional charge of Â£10
In the interests of security and to prevent fraud, at the time of check-in, guests may be required to confirm their identity by providing their booking reference;their photographic identification and a valid credit or debit card which will be swiped in the presence of the card holder.If guests are travelling from outside the UK, Ireland or any country in the Commonwealth we are also obliged by UK law to require guests to provide the number and place of issue of their passport/identity card and details of their next destination. These records will be kept for at least 12 months and may be disclosed or made available for inspection by any police officer or as otherwise required by applicable law in connection with the prevention or investigation of crime.The information above may be requested for each member of your party over the age of 16 and we reserve the right to refuse entry to persons who cannot provide the information set out above.
Cancellation & Non-Arrival Conditions
If guests are unable to attend, they must notify us with 48 hours notice to avoid cancellation fees. Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason will be charged for a one night stay to their credit/debit card.
In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made. We will, however, use reasonable endeavours to try and re-locate any confirmed Booking cancelled by us to an alternative location similar in standard to the Hotel.
Limitation of Liability
The Company will not be responsible for the loss or damage of any property left in the Hotel
Where on-site parking is provided guests accept that they park their vehicles at their own risk.
WiFi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy
Where WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.
The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
FOOD AND BEVERAGES
Room prices do not include any incidental charges, which you may incur during your stay (including, for example evening meals, drinks for the bar and items from the mini bar.) Mini-bar facilities are available in each room and will be stocked. Please notify the Hotel of any special requirements. A list of prices of mini-bar items will be provided in each room. On checking out we expect you to honestly inform reception of your usage, in regards to consumed items that have not been notified to the reception at check-out time, your credit card will be charged by the hotel.
Damages & Lost Property
We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings (including without limitation specialist cleaning) or for any items that are missing when you leave. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs. Lost keys / fobs / access cards will incur a replacement charge per key / fob / card lost.
Any lost property, if subsequently found which has been left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with the owner we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belongings before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the property owners cost, otherwise collection can be arranged.
Smoking of any sort including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, and in addition the use of snuff or chewing tobacco, is strictly prohibited in all rooms and suites or public areas of the building including corridors, bar and the restaurant.
We regret that unfortunately the first floor of the building is not suitable for people with physical disabilities.
All children (a person under 16 years of age) staying at the Cross Inn must be accompanied by an adult and must be supervised by an adult at all times.
Cots and extra beds are available. However, these are limited and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply. Please check at the time of booking.
The Cross Inn is able to accommodate pets, given prior notice and an additional charge of Â£5 per room / per nightwill be added to your bill when staying with a pet.
The Company accepts no liability and will not pay any compensation where the performance of its obligations is prevented or affected directly or indirectly by or as a result of force majeure or any circumstances beyond its reasonable control including, but not limited to, flood, earthquake, extreme adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, other acts of God, acts of terrorism, fire or failure of electric power, gas, water, or other utility service, plant machinery, computers, vehicles or any collapse of building structures.

While all reasonable efforts have been taken to ensure the accuracy of information on the Cross Inn Website, we do not accept responsibility for errors or omissions and reserves the right to amend, cancel or vary any of the details featured on the Cross Inn website without notice.
Whilst every effort is made to fulfill any particular requests which you may have in relation to your stay with us, we cannot unfortunately guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests which you may make and our failure in this regard will not constitute a breach of contract.
